Proud 2 b Parents offers a range of training to support your organisational development in regards to the inclusion of LGBT+ parents/ carers and their children, whilst providing practical ways to develop and change practice. Our training has been developed through research and the lived experiences of our service beneficiaries. They have shared their own experiences and wanted to ensure service change, inclusivity and affirming LGBT+ environments were at the heart of our training packages. We also know that our training builds,  ‘Confidence in working with LGBT+ clients’, whilst providing insight and  ‘understanding of how difficult and challenging it has been for parents/carers’.

Your engagement in our training programmes ensures that all perspectives are acknowledged and that you and your colleagues are working towards or are allies to the community. We thank you for your commitment to ensuring the voices of LGBT+ parents/ carers and their children are heard and supported. The principles of our training can be used to support other marginalised groups from the protected characteristics list.

“The whole team thoroughly enjoyed the training and and learnt a lot. By the end we all realised that our practice was not up to date as we thought. However the training has challenged us and we will be far more mindful going forward.”
