Claire and Kim’s story

"Our family is two mums, one son, one dog and four Guinea pigs. We wanted to get involved in this project to celebrate our family and families like ours. Our son came to us at 18 months and becoming a family unit took time and there were plenty of bumps along the way. It's a lifelong journey but we are proud of how far we have come. Being a LGBT+ family is much like being any other family: our lives revolve around laundry, play dates, swimming lessons and an ever running dishwasher. I hope our photo shows that family isn't about biology or looking like each other, it's about being a team."
